Privacy Policy

What data we collect, why, on what legal basis, how we protect it and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

  • Contact and quote forms: name, company, email address, phone number and the message you send us.
  • Subscriptions and notices (for example, “Notify me when it's ready” or “I want early access”): email address, product of interest and the language you used.
  • Site usage: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and cookies, as described in the Cookie Policy.
  • WhatsApp API services: when you are a customer, we process on your behalf the data of your conversations (phone numbers, names and message content) to provide the service. In that case you are the controller and we act as processor, under the service agreement and the policies of Meta Platforms, Inc.
  • Commercial relationship: billing and contact data needed to issue invoices under Honduran tax regulations.

3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • Answering inquiries, quotes and support requests: pre-contractual steps at your request and performance of the contract.
  • Providing and invoicing the contracted services: performance of the contract and legal obligations (SAR).
  • Notifying you about launches you subscribed to: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Measuring site usage and improving it: your consent (analytics cookies).
  • Advertising and campaign measurement: your consent (marketing cookies).
  • Site security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest in protecting our systems.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help us deliver the service and are contractually bound to protect it: web hosting and databases, transactional email, messaging platforms (Meta Platforms, Inc. for WhatsApp Business), analytics and advertising tools (only with your consent) and professional advisors. We will also share it when a competent Honduran authority requires it by law.

5. International transfers

Some providers process data outside Honduras, mainly in the United States and the European Union. We select providers with internationally recognized certifications and contractual protection clauses.

6. How long we keep the data

  • Inquiries and quotes: up to 24 months after the last contact.
  • Customer and billing data: for the duration of the commercial relationship and the period required by Honduran tax and commercial law.
  • Notice subscriptions: until you withdraw your consent.
  • Cookie consent records: 12 months, or as long as needed to prove compliance.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, request its erasure, object to its processing, restrict it, request its portability and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting prior processing. These rights are recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras (habeas data) and in the Transparency and Access to Public Information Act where applicable, and we apply them following the standards of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation as best practice.

To exercise them, write to sac@bigtechnologyhn.com stating the right you want to exercise and a way to verify your identity. We will reply within 30 days at most. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the competent Honduran authorities.

8. How we protect your data

We apply encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access control, strengthened authentication for staff with data access, daily backups, access logging and periodic security reviews. Our staff and providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

9. Minors

Our services are aimed at companies and people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

If we modify this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its effective date. If the change is relevant, we will notify you through the contact channels we have.

11. Language

This policy is published in Spanish and English. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
